Lunches being made.

When we get up to north Beaverton, Chris and I always stop at Chang’s Mongolian Grill for lunch.   This is a place where you fill your bowls with fresh protein and have the choice of beef, lamb, chicken, turkey, pork, tofu, fish.  They have a couple different types of noodles you can select from.  You also can chose from a variety of fresh vegetables, scallion, onions, green, pepper, bean sprouts, cabbage, celery, carrots, tomatoes and more.  I can’t remember everything on the food bar.

Desert in case you made your food too hot. Which in may case never happens.

Then you can add your sauces and once again you have a choice of a lot of different sauces, such as ginger, vinegar, cooking Sherry, hot sauce, oyster sauce, salt water, sugar water.  Then you can your food over to the BBQ cooks and let the magic happen.  Once they cook the food you can add peanuts or hot even more hot sauces to your hot steaming food.  You watch them make your food and they hand it back in on a hot fresh plate.  If your plate of food doesn’t fill you up you can always go back for seconds and thirds.  You also get rice and rice cakes with your meal.  And ice cream for dessert.

Here are photos of both of our meals.  Chris of course is all white (her favorite color of food).  She said carrots are part of white and yellow but just got carried away (see her post Why I should not be allowed to write a food blog!).

Chris's lunch....turkey, bean stouts, cabbage, carrots.

And mine …

My lunch ... beef, onion, cabbage

Then came out fortunate cookies.

The typical fortunate cookie.

Qi (energy) hugs,
